India, Mongolia Mark 70 Years of Diplomatic Ties

Marking 70 years of diplomatic relations, India and Mongolia reaffirmed their strategic partnership during the visit of Mongolian President (13th -16th October 2025) to New Delhi.

  • Energy and Infrastructure Cooperation: India to fund an oil refinery project in Mongolia under a $1.7 billion line of credit, its largest overseas development partnership.
  • Defence and Security Collaboration: India to provide training for Mongolian armed forces and launch a capacity-building programme for its border security forces.
  • Education and Skill Development: Expansion of cooperation through the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Centre of Excellence for IT and the India-Mongolia Friendship School to empower youth.
