The Viksit Bharat Shiksha Adhishthan Bill, 2025

On 15th December 2025, the Union Ministry of Education introduced the Viksit Bharat Shiksha Adhishthan Bill, 2025 in the Lok Sabha.

  • The purpose of the Bill is to empower Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) of Bharat to achieve excellence through effective coordination and the determination of standards.
  • However, the Bill was referred to a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) for wider scrutiny.
