India Joins Tropical Forest Forever Facility as Observer

Recently, at the Leaders’ Summit in Belém, Brazil, India announced that it would join the Tropical Forest Forever Facility (TFFF) as an Observer, aligning with global efforts to finance forest conservation and reduce carbon emissions.

What is the Tropical Forest Forever Facility (TFFF)?

  • The TFFF is a new global mechanism designed to financially reward countries with tropical forests for keeping them intact and reducing net carbon emissions.
