Arjun Mk-1A
Arjun Mk-1A is India’s indigenous Main Battle Tank (MBT), designed and developed by DRDO’s Combat Vehicles Research and Development Establishment (CVRDE).

Design and Weight
- Weight: 68 tons, heavier than the T-90S (46 tons), but with enhanced mobility.
- Dimensions: 10.6 meters long, 3.9 meters wide, 2.3 meters high.
Engine and Mobility
- Engine: MTU 838 Ka-501 diesel engine (1,400 hp, German origin), power-to-weight ratio of 20.6 hp/ton.
- Speed: 58 km/h (on-road), 40 km/h (off-road).
- Range: 450 km.
Armament
- Main Gun: 120 mm rifled gun, 52 caliber, capable of firing APFSDS, HESH, and HEAT rounds.
