Small Modular Reactors (SMRs)
Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) are nuclear reactors with a power capacity of 300 megawatts or less. They are manufactured in a modular format in factories and assembled on-site. SMRs are emerging as a promising solution for a safe, flexible, and clean energy system of the future.
Benefits
- Flexibility and Multi-Purpose Use: SMRs, being small and modular, can be deployed both in grid-connected and off-grid locations. They are ideal for remote, industrial, and energy-intensive areas where large nuclear plants are not feasible.
- Faster Construction and Lower Costs: SMRs can be factory-built and installed quickly on-site, reducing both construction time and capital costs.
- Safety ....
