2024 European State of the Climate Report
On 15th April 2025, a report revealed that Europe has been warming about twice as fast as the global average, with 2024 being the warmest year recorded both globally and in Europe.
Findings of the European Climate Report
- Europe's annual average temperature has risen by about 2.4°C compared to the pre-industrial era, far above the global average of 1.3°C.
- Eastern Europe experienced warmer and sunnier conditions, while Western Europe saw cloudier and wetter weather.
