HANUMAN Project for Human–Wildlife Conflict
- On 3rd March 2026, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan launched the ‘HANUMAN’ Project in Mangalagiri near Vijayawada.
- HANUMAN stands for Healing and Nurturing Units for Monitoring, Aid and Nursing of Wildlife.
- The project aims to reduce human-wildlife conflict and strengthen wildlife conservation.
- Over 100 specialised rapid response and rescue vehicles were flagged off during the launch.
- These include 93 Rapid Response and Rescue Vehicles and seven wildlife ambulance units.
- Four Wildlife Rescue and Treatment Centres will operate at Visakhapatnam, Rajamahendravaram, Tirupati and Byrluti.
- Each rescue vehicle includes a Forest Range Officer, veterinary personnel and trained tribal helpers.
