Micron Semiconductor ATMP Facility in Sanand

  • Recently, Micron Technology began operations at its semiconductor Assembly, Test and Packaging (ATMP) facility in Sanand, Gujarat.
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated this facility on 28th February 2026. This is India’s first advanced memory ATMP facility.
  • The plant shipped its first DRAM module to Dell Technologies.
  • The facility includes a 500,000 sq ft raised-floor semiconductor clean room.
  • It is the world’s largest single raised-floor clean room for semiconductor assembly.
  • The clean room is classified as Class 1000 to control particle contamination.
  • Air inside the clean room is circulated about 120 times per hour.
