Puri Granted Corporation Status
- On 4 July 2025, Odisha Chief Minister announced that Puri Municipality will be granted municipal corporation status.
- A corporation will be formed encompassing Puri city and surrounding areas.
- This will include around 7–8 gram panchayats from Puri Sadar and Brahmagiri blocks.
