Bastar Pandum: Restoring Culture, Identity and Peace

  • Bastar Pandum 2026, held in Chhattisgarh from 5 January to 9 February 2026, was inaugurated by President Droupadi Murmu and concluded by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Jagdalpur.
  • Around 55,000 tribal participants from 1,965 Gram Panchayats across all seven districts of the Bastar division—Sukma, Bijapur, Dantewada, Jagdalpur, Kondagaon, Narayanpur, and Kanker—participated in 12 cultural disciplines.
  • The 2025 edition of Bastar Pandum was recognized in the Golden Book of World Records for the participation of nearly 47,000 artists.
