Heritage Crafts Village in Odisha Wears Deserted Look Amidst Lockdown
Uncertain about their future since lockdown, the Pattachitra Artists of Raghurajpur, the heritage crafts village in Puri District of Odisha want virtual platform to sell their artwork as tourists, the foundation of livelihood of villagers, are no longer welcomed. Making of Pattachitras, traditional paintings in which mythological, religious stories and folk lore are told through intricate canvasing, has been the principal vocation of most villagers here.
