Right to be Forgotten
On 6th February 2026, the Supreme Court issued a notice on IE Online Media's challenge to a Delhi High Court ruling on whether the "right to be forgotten" can be used to seek deletion or de-indexing of past news reports after an accused has been discharged.
- The right to be forgotten is the right to delete information or erase it so that it may no longer be available to the masses.
