Mata Kheer Bhawani Mela
On 8th June, 2022, the annual Mata Kheer Bhawani Mela at the famous Ragnya Devi temple was celebrated after a hiatus of two years owing to COVID-19 outbreak.
About Kheer Bhawani Mela
- Also known as Kheer Bhawani Yatra, it is the annual festival held at the temple of Mata Kheer Bhawani in Tulla Mulla village in Jammu and Kashmir.
- The name Kheer Bhawani comes from the deities’ favorite offering, rice pudding, which consist of rice cooked in milk and sugar.
- It is observed on the Ashtami day during Shukla Paksha or waxing phase of moon in Jyeshta month (June – July). ....
