ICAR Develops Eco-Friendly Biopesticide for Cardamom Thrips
In June 2025, the ICAR-Indian Institute of Spices Research (ICAR-IISR), Kozhikode, announced the development of an eco-friendly biopesticide to combat cardamom thrips, a major pest that causes up to 48% yield loss and Rs. 2–4 lakh loss per acre in India’s cardamom plantations.
