Mahakavi Subramania Bharati
On 11th December 2024, the Prime Minister released a compendium of complete works of great Tamil poet and freedom fighter C. Subramania Bharati in New Delhi.
- The Prime Minister lauded the extraordinary, unprecedented and tireless work of six decades for the compilation of ‘Kaala Varisaiyil Bharathiyar Padaippugal’ in 21 volumes.
About Mahakavi
- C. Subramaniya Bharati was a poet, freedom fighter and social reformer from Tamil Nadu.
- He was known as 'Mahakavi Bharathiyar' and the laudatory epithet 'Mahakavi' means a great poet.
- He was born on 11th December 1882, in a village called Ettayapuram in Tirunelveli District in Tamil Nadu and ....
