Localisation of SDGs in India
The localization of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in India refers to the adaptation and implementation of these global goals at the local or regional levels within the country to address specific developmental challenges.
Four Pillars of SDGs in India
Indian model of SDG localisation has four pillars:
- Creating institutional ownership;
- Establishing a robust review and monitoring system;
- Developing capacities for integrating SDGs in planning and monitoring and
- Promoting a "whole society approach".
