Shaheed Veer Gundadhur
On 19th May 2026, Union Home Minister inaugurated Shaheed Veer Gundadhur Seva Dera Jan Suvidha Kendra in Bastar (Chhattisgarh).The Suvidha Kendra aims to provide welfare services, Aadhaar registration, and other benefits in tribal areas.
- Shaheed Veer Gundadhur was born in Netanar village of Bastar in the Dhurva tribal community.
- He emerged as a prominent tribal leader against British colonial rule in Bastar.
- He is known for guerrilla warfare tactics, courage and leadership during the anti-colonial struggle.
- Gundadhur laid the foundation for the historic Bhumkal (meaning earthquake or earth-rebellion) movement to protest the British exploitation of local resources, severe forest reservation ....
