Uttarakhand’s Tableau wins top Republic Day Award
For the first time since Uttarakhand's formation 23 years ago, the state's Republic Day tableau, themed "Manaskhand", depicting the historic Jageshwar temples near Almora and the hill state's traditional Chholiya dance, won the first prize this year.
- In 2021, the state's Kedarkhand tableau had won the third position among all tableaux.

- Garhwal has been described as Kedarkhand and Kumaon as Manaskhand in the Puranas.
- Skandpuran has a lot of information on Manaskhand.
- Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission Yojana is also an important initiative in promoting our culture and traditional values.
