Kanger Valley National Park
- The Kanger Valley National Park in Bastar, Chhattisgarh, has been included in UNESCO’s tentative list of World Heritage Sites.
- This marks the first time a site from the state has been included in UNESCO’s tentative list, opening opportunities for tourism and conservation.
- The park spans 200 sq km and is home to rare wildlife, over 200 bird species, 140 butterfly species, and famous caves like Kotamsar, Kailash, and Dandak.
- The Chhattisgarh government and the Archaeological Survey of India jointly submitted the proposal.
