Nowruz Festival
- On 20th March 2025, Nowruz - the Persian New Year – was celebrated.
- The term "Nowruz" translates to "new day" in Persian, signifying the arrival of spring and embodies themes of renewal and new beginnings.
- Nowruz likely originated as a Zoroastrian festival during the late second or early first millennium BCE.
- It was celebrated during the Achaemenid dynasty (c. 559–330 BCE) and referenced in texts from the Parthian and Sasanian Empires.
- Recognised as an Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 2010.
