Karbi Anglong Ginger
On 2nd March 2026, Assam marked a historic milestone in its agricultural export journey with the maiden shipment of Geographical Indication (GI), tagged Karbi Anglong ginger to London, a first for the state’s farm produce.
- Karbi Anglong ginger is grown in Singhasan Hills of Karbi Anglong district of Assam using the age-old system of Jhum and Tila cultivation.
