India’s Gifts to Japan’s Prime Minister
During his two days visit to Japan (29-30 August 2025), Indian Prime Minister gifted Japanese PM Shigeru Ishiba a vintage moonstone bowl set with silver chopsticks, blending Indian artistry with Japanese culinary traditions, and a handwoven Kashmiri shawl.

Design & Symbolism
- A unique fusion of Indian artistry and Japanese culinary tradition. Inspired by Japan’s donburi (rice bowl) and soba (noodle) dining rituals.
Composition
- One large brown moonstone bowl with four smaller bowls.
- A pair of silver chopsticks.
Materials Used
- Moonstone sourced from Andhra Pradesh, known for its glow (adularescence).
- Makrana marble (Rajasthan) base, inlaid with semi-precious stones ....
