Recently, the Assam Cabinet has resolved to name the upcoming flyover in central Guwahati after Prithu, the 13th-century ruler of Kamrup.
- He belonged to the Khen Dynasty, tracing lineage to Narakasura.
- They worshipped Goddess Kamteswari (an incarnation of Goddess Durga).
