Vishnupad Temple and Mahabodhi Temple Corridor Projects
On 23rd July, 2024, while presenting the Union Budget 2024-2025, Finance Minister announced that corridor projects will be built for the Vishnupad Temple at Gaya and the Mahabodhi Temple at Bodh Gaya in Bihar.
- These will be modelled on the successful Kashi Vishwanath Temple Corridor, to transform them into world-class pilgrim and tourist destinations.

- The Mahabodhi Temple, located in Bodh Gaya, Bihar, marks the site where Siddhartha Gautama, later known as the Buddha, attained enlightenment around 589 BCE.
