India’s Urban Cyber Preparedness: Challenges and Imperatives
On 18th July 2025, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), convened the National Conference on Making Cities Cyber Secure.
- The National Conference emphasised Urban Cyber Preparedness and highlighted the evolving role of Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) in shaping future-ready cities.
- Urban Cyber Preparedness refers to a city's ability to prevent, detect, respond to, and recover from cyber threats that affect its digital infrastructure and services.
