International Court of Justice Ruling on Climate Change
On 23rd July 2025, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) issued a historic advisory opinion stating that countries have a legal obligation under international law to take effective action on climate change, potentially paving the way for increased accountability through litigation.
What is the ICJ ruling about?
