INCOIS Launches Three Ocean Information Services
On 9th February 2026, the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) launched three ocean information services and signed MoUs to improve access to coastal advisories.
New Services Introduced
JellyAIIP (Jellyfish Aggregation Information Interactive Portal)
- National platform for reporting jellyfish aggregation, swarming, and stranding events.
- Offers geospatial mapping, hotspot analysis, and multilingual first-aid guidance.
- Supports authorities, fishermen, swimmers, and beachgoers during jellyfish incidents.
SAMUDRA 2.0 Mobile App
- Upgraded multilingual mobile platform for ocean advisories and early warnings.
- Provides Potential Fishing Zone (PFZ) information and TUNA advisories.
- Includes Small Vessel alerts with improved map-based features.
SIVAS (Swell-Surge Inundation Vulnerability Advisory System)
