- Land degradation and drought currently cost the global economy $878–880 billion annually,
– 3x the total official development assistance provided in 2023. - Restoring 1.5 billion hectares of land could fuel a trillion-dollar restoration economy.
- Daily investment of $1 billion is needed to meet land restoration goals by 2030.
- Only 6% of current restoration funding comes from the private sector.
