India Rejects USCIRF Report on Religious Freedom

On 16th March 2026, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) rejected a report by the US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), calling it “motivated and biased”.

  • The MEA stated the report presents a distorted and selective picture of India.
