DAY-NRLM: From Women Empowerment to a Prosperous Rural India
- Under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM), the 'Lakhpati Didi' target for the economic inclusion and empowerment of rural women has been increased from 3 crore to 6 crore (for the next three years).
- Under DAY-NRLM, 10.03 crore rural women have been organized into 94 lakh Self-Help Groups (SHGs), which maintain an excellent financial discipline with a Non-Performing Asset (NPA) rate of approximately 1.85%.
- To strengthen digital governance in community institutions, the comprehensive management information system 'LOKOS' has been implemented, with data standardization being done by over 4 lakh e-Book keepers.
