- Agriculture and allied sectors provide livelihoods to 46% of the workforce in India, contributing approximately 18% to the GVA of the economy.
- 86.1% of the country's total agricultural holdings are in the small and marginal category, holding only 47-48% of the country's total agricultural land.
- Under the Digital Agriculture Mission (AgriStack), 7.63 crore 'Farmer IDs' and 23.5 crore crop plots have been mapped by November 2025.
