In the era of Fourth Industrial Revolution, Government of India needs to enable revolution of “smart” devices and systems from smart cars to smart grids, which collectively would give rise to smart cities and address the most pressing national priorities.
Transitioning to cloud necessitates involvement of Government. With this in mind, MeiTY has embarked on an ambitious project called “Silver line Architecture for Cloud” that tries to establish a transparent and conducive regulatory framework that ensures data ownership, retention policy and content regulation while codifying measures to be taken in case of data theft or leakage out of the system and provides faster resolution and remedies to the user.
India will launch its first human genome mapping project by October 2019, a move that will help researchers get closer to developing effective therapies for treating diseases such as cancer. The Department of Biotechnology (DBT) plans to scan nearly 20,000 Indian genomes over five years and develop diagnostic tests that can be used for cancer.
Chandrayaan-2 mission was a significant technological leap compared to the previous missions of ISRO, which brought together an Orbiter, Lander and Rover with the goal of exploring South Pole of the Moon.
