With an aim to equip the next generation of researchers in the area of big data methods in biological applications, India’s leading institutes are coming together to establish the first Joint Indian-German Research Training Group (RTG).
The new age courses like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning have been planned by the IITs sensing the gap between the industry demands and the curriculum followed by the engineering institutes. Numerous jobs in areas like Data Science and Machine Learning have been lying vacant due to the lack of relevant talent.
There is a widening gap between the demands of non-traditional ways of teaching and the supply of qualified professionals in education technology. The shortage is mainly existent because Ed-tech is an emerging discipline and not many institutes provide dedicated courses currently. Owing to this IIT Bombay has decided to come up with a new course- M.Tech in Education Technology.
The Liberal Arts Department of IIT Hyderabad has launched a two-year master’s programme in Development Studies starting from this year. The applications are open from 4th May to 4th June, 2019.
