Solar Cycle 25
- Solar Cycle Prediction Panel of NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) have jointly announced the end of solar cycle 24 and commencement of solar cycle 25.
- Solar cycle 25 is the current solar cycle pattern of sunspot activity. It began in December 2019 with the observation of a solar minimum and marked the beginning of a new solar cycle. It is expected to reach its maxima in 2025 and continue until about 2030 i.e. the time of next minima.
