Defence India Startup Challenge 5.0

On August 19, 2021, the Defence India Startup Challenge (DISC) 5.0 under Innovations for Defence Excellence - Defence Innovation Organisation (iDEX-DIO) was launched. The launch of DISC 5.0 comes three years after the launch of DISC 1.0.

About the Challenge

  • Objective: A project under the iDEX-DIO initiative, DISC 5.0 aims to leverage the startup ecosystem in India to develop the country’s defence technologies, equipment design and manufacturing capabilities.
  • The Problem Statements: The Problem Statements are designed to ensure military advantage in the foreseeable future.
