Himalayan Golden Birdwing Butterfly
The Himalayan butterfly named Golden Birdwing has surpassed the Southern Birdwing after 88 years to become the largest butterfly in India.
- The female Golden Birdwing was recorded from Didihat in Uttarakhand, the largest male was from the Wankhar Butterfly Museum in Meghalaya.
- The only measurement used in the study of Lepidoptera is wingspan, a simple concept with various interpretations of the term.

- It s a large tropical butterfly belonging to the swallowtail family, Papilionidae.
