On 18th February 2026, the Digital India BHASHINI Division (DIBD), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) launched VoicERA at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, to strengthen multilingual Digital Public Infrastructure..
- VoicERA is an open-source, end-to-end Voice AI stack.
- It is deployed on the BHASHINI National Language Infrastructure.
- The platform enables multilingual voice and conversational AI systems.
- It is designed to be interoperable, modular and cloud-deployable.
- VoicERA reduces duplication and eliminates vendor lock-in risks.
