First Analog Space Mission
On 1st November 2024, ISRO launched its first analog space mission in Leh, Ladakh, to simulate life in an interplanetary habitat, aiming to tackle challenges faced by astronauts on future space missions to the Moon, Mars, and beyond.
Mission Details
- The mission features Hab-1, a compact, inflatable habitat designed to replicate life in extraterrestrial conditions.
- Equipped with essential elements like a hydroponics farm, kitchen, and sanitation facilities, Hab-1 provides a self-sustaining environment to gather data on the complexities of long-duration space missions.
