IndQA Benchmark
Recently, OpenAI introduced IndQA, a new benchmark designed to evaluate AI systems on their ability to understand Indian languages, cultural contexts, and communication patterns.
- “IndQA” refers to a multilingual, culturally grounded question–answering benchmark created specifically to test AI performance across major Indian languages and domains.
- It provides a structured set of questions reflecting India’s linguistic diversity and cultural realities, allowing developers to measure how well AI models work for Indian users.
- The languages evaluated include Bengali, English, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Telugu, Gujarati, Malayalam, Punjabi, Tamil, and Hinglish, covering a large portion of India’s linguistic landscape.
