New Biomaterial Helps Heal Wounds
Recently, scientists from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi, IIT Delhi and National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, have developed a new biomaterial from pullulan that can be used to disinfect wounds and hastens the process of healing.
- Biomaterials are materials that have been designed to interface with biological systems, for the treatment, augmentation, or replacement of biological functions.
