Contactless Voltage Measurement Device
Recently, the College of Engineering Thiruvananthapuram (CET) and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras have jointly obtained a patent for their innovative design of a contactless voltage measurement device.
- The Indian Patent Office granted the patent for their collaborative project titled “An instrumentation system with a fully non-intrusive probe for AC voltage measurement’.
- The device offers a groundbreaking solution for voltage measurement without removing insulation.
- Traditionally, voltage measurement involves exposing live wires by removing insulation and connecting them to devices like voltmeters.
- The non-intrusive device, however, provides accurate voltage measurement without the need for insulation removal.
- It boasts integration capabilities with IoT devices, smart ....
