India Unveils 'Bhargavastra'
On 13th May 2025, India successfully developed and tested ‘Bhargavastra’, an indigenous counter-drone system designed to neutralise swarm and individual UAV threats.
What is Bhargavastra?
- Bhargavastra is India’s indigenous anti-drone weapon system developed by Solar Defence and Aerospace Limited (SDAL).
- It is designed to detect, track, and destroy drone swarms—a growing threat in modern warfare.
- The system delivers low-cost, precision-based defence and is fully aligned with the 'Make in India' mission.
