NASA’s TEMPO Instrument
On April 7, 2023, NASA launched the Tropospheric Emissions: Monitoring of Pollution (TEMPO) instrument as a payload on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

- About TEMPO: NASA's TEMPO instrument will be the first space-based instrument to measure air quality over North America hourly during the daytime and at spatial regions of several square miles.
- It will provide hourly measurements of major air pollutants, including ozone, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, formaldehyde, and aerosols, with the aim of improving air quality across the continent and protecting the planet.
