Potential of Organoid Intelligence to Create Biocomputers
On 6th March, 2023, scientists from Johns Hopkins University (JHU) unveiled a plan for a potentially revolutionary new area of research called ‘organoid intelligence’ which aims to create biocomputers.
Research Objectives
- Scientists aim to compare brain organoids from healthy individuals with those from patients to understand the biological basis of cognitive disorders and neurodegenerative diseases by analyzing brain structure, connections, and signaling.
