France Discovers World's Largest Natural Hydrogen Reserve

In March 2025, French scientists discovered a 46-million-ton reserve of natural hydrogen in Folschviller, Moselle, which could revolutionise the global clean energy industry.

• The discovery, valued at $92 billion, was made by researchers from GeoRessources laboratory and CNRS while searching for methane.
