NITI Aayog, UNICEF India Partner to Improve Nutrition and Health in Aspirational Districts
On 5th March 2026, NITI Aayog and UNICEF India signed a Statement of Intent to support strategic interventions in Aspirational Districts and Aspirational Blocks.
Purpose
- To leverage the strengths of both institutions to advance efforts toward improved maternal and child nutrition outcomes in underserved regions.

Focus Areas
- Strengthening Anganwadi infrastructure,
- Enhancing nutrition literacy,
- Improving the uptake of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) and
- Building the capacity of frontline workers.
