IISc Develops Brain-Like AI Computing Platform
Recently, researchers at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) created a unique analogous computing platform within a molecular film that mimics human brain functions.
- The researchers from IISC’s Centre for Nano Science and Engineering (CeNSE) in Bengaluru designed a ‘brain on the chip’ that closely resembles the data processing and storage capabilities of a human brain.
- This innovative platform boasts an impressive 16,500 conductance states within the molecular film, vastly exceeding the binary states of 0 and 1 that current digital computing platforms rely on.
