DRDO Successfully Tests HEAT 'ABHYAS'
In June 2024, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully completed six consecutive development trials of the High Speed Expendable Aerial Target (HEAT) 'ABHYAS' with an improved booster configuration at the Integrated Test Range (ITR) in Chandipur, Odisha.
- The recent trials bring the total to ten development trials, showcasing the system's reliability and enhanced capabilities.
- The trials featured improved Radar Cross Section, Visual, and Infrared augmentation systems, validating the ABHYAS's advanced features and capabilities.
