World's First Hydrogen-powered Commercial Ferry
On 12th July, 2024, MV Sea Change, the world's first commercial passenger ferry powered entirely by hydrogen fuel, was launched at the San Francisco Ferry Building, setting a new benchmark in eco-friendly transportation.
- The MV Sea Change is a 70-foot catamaran that can transport up to 75 passengers, offering a sustainable alternative to diesel-powered ferries.
- This innovative ferry will serve the route between Pier 41 and downtown San Francisco's ferry terminal, beginning operations on July 19.
- Unlike traditional ferries, the Sea Change emits only heat and water vapour, significantly reducing pollution and even providing drinkable water from its emissions. ....
