State Cleanliness Workers Commission
- On 29 July 2025, the Bihar state cabinet approved the formation of the State Sanitation Workers Commission.
- The commission will consist of a chairperson, a vice‑chairperson, and five other members.
- It will advise the government on the welfare, economic and social development, and other aspects related to cleanliness workers in various sectors.
- It is estimated that more than 4 lakh cleanliness workers across various urban local bodies, panchayats, and other areas of Bihar will be covered under this commission.
